Position Description:
A full-time post-doctoral researcher position in information security (Assurance) is available starting immediately at the Center of Excellence in Information Assurance in King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The primary responsibilities of a researcher include conducting basic and applied research on the most challenging information security problems. In addition to some teaching and supervise post graduate students projects and thesis.
Qualifications:
- PhD degree in computer science, Information technology and Information Systems or equivalent field.
- Demonstrated ability to generate new ideas and innovate.
- A well-established research track record as demonstrated by journal publications and conference papers, as well as participation on program committees, editorial boards, and advisory panels.
- Letters of recommendation are required.
- Experience in applying for grants.
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to develop original research agendas. Good writing and oral communication skills are also required. Presentation of research results in the form of journal publications, conference presentations and technical reports.
- Candidates are expected to pursue an independent research career and should be also prepared to coordinate research projects, supervise post-graduate students and obtain external funding.
This post is tenable immediately for an initial period of one year at a salary package of $50K to $80K/year according to the successful candidate's qualifications and experience.
