About PolyU
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is a government-funded university in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China. We have the largest number of students among the seven government-funded universities in Hong Kong, and we have a long and valued history of providing well respected and internationally accredited professionally oriented programmes and producing research of high application value. PolyU is located in the heart of Hong Kong.
Our city campus is alongside the famous Victoria Harbour, with views looking out across to Hong Kong Island, upwards to Victoria Peak, and behind to the New Territories leading to the border with the Chinese Mainland just a short distance away. The academic staff body of PolyU represents many cultures and nationalities, and virtually all our academic staff have experience in living and working overseas. Our student body is increasingly international, and to further promote an international environment in PolyU, we actively seek students from different cultural backgrounds to pursue their research studies here.
