Phd and Master positions in Life Sciences, Germany

International Graduate School at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster

The International Graduate School ’Molecular Interactions of Pathogens with Biotic and Abiotic Surfaces’ (funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft) offers 13 PhD and 8 MD fellowships in the Life Sciences.

The second class will start on January 1st, 2010.
Funding will be for 36 months.

Deadline for applications is September 1st, 2009.

The Graduate School combines research interests of groups from the Departments of Medicine, Biology, and Chemistry to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying the interactions of pathogens with cellular barriers and abiotic surfaces. The three year PhD program will provide excellent training and research opportunities in molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, infectiology, microbiology, and molecular biomedicine accompanied by additional soft skills programs.

The Graduate School offers a continuous educational program including training courses in methods and techniques. Seminars given by leading scientists will foster a broad view on current topics in molecular life sciences. The program encourages close cooperation across scientific disciplines in a stimulating scientific environment.
