Engineering @ Facebook

Facebook is quickly expanding its reach across the world, but we're still a small company. As a Facebook software engineer, there are great opportunities to grow with us and make an impact. Here's what makes our Engineering team unique.

Build widely used products

Facebook is now used by over 100 million people around the world. Our engineers generate product ideas that are at the forefront of technology, and they're empowered to guide these ideas from whiteboard to production.

  • Work with exceptional design and user experience teams
  • Help develop the 4th most-trafficked website in the world (comScore)
  • Work on the largest photo-sharing site in the world, with over 5 billion photos

Innovate in a fast-paced, startup environment

At Facebook, we move fast. Our rapid development cycle is supported by tools that always keep us operating ahead of the curve. Write code and have it running on the site only a few days later - see the impact you're making in real-time.

Solve tough, technical problems

Facebook is constantly challenged to scale quickly and efficiently, but we have some of the best engineers working together to solve today's toughest technical problems.
